Hello, Spring! I am pretending they are not calling for snow next week and will be blissfully happy enjoying the 60 degree weather this weekend. There are so many trends I love this season and the midi skirt is no exception. Although I am seeing a lot of structured skirts, a flowy option is always better for me. I almost never leave home without wearing a button down shirt and statement necklace. Predictable...maybe. I just know what I like.
My obligatory Spring J.Crew ballet flat purchase took a slight turn this season - For the first time I am trying their Kiki flat. It is similar to the regular ballet flat but has a tiny heel that gives the shoe a bit more structure which I appreciate after a full day of wearing them. I love the color-blocking on the pair I chose. Metallic toe = winning.
After I decided to feature my personal style on Conflicted Pixie, I quickly figured out that having individual photos taken is completely unnatural and awkward for me. But I want my girls to grow up feeling comfortable in their own skin so I am letting it go and practicing what I, soon, will preach. I do think shooting in a picturesque setting - whether it be a city street, country road, or old building - makes me feel more comfortable and I sure do love this old schoolhouse with its front porch, brick, white shutters, and iron details.
