This week's Monday Musts is focused on splurges...but splurge doesn't always mean paying full price!
1. I frame a lot of things - photos, kids art, embroidery etc...- and my go-to affordable frames are from Ikea. But I recently found Framebridge, a custom framing company that allows you to mail them your art (for free!) and they will ship it back beautifully matted and framed. You can also send them digital files or use their app to frame your Instagram photos!
3. The No. 2 Pencil Skirt is a wardrobe staple and will last for years - they never go out of style and are always offered in the most gorgeous colors and patterns. Plus, you can always find them deeply discounted.
4. Our kitchen splurge is our crop share membership. I try my hardest to use every bit of produce we receive each week but last week's kabocha squash had me scratching my head. I found this soup recipe on Pinterest and it was absolutely delicious. I didn't have truffle oil but a walnut oil substitution worked perfectly.
5. As I get older I realize the value of a quality piece of furniture that will live with our family for years to come. I always drool over Anthropologie's furniture selection knowing that I probably will never own any of it. This chair recently caught my eye and I was pleasantly surprised to see its moderate price tag. I think it would work perfectly as a desk chair or a pair would be a nice addition to the ends of a dining room table.
